Sponsorship Application 7th Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner April 3, 2009 Wichita Hyatt Regency The WHCC 7th Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner is designed to celebrate the contributions and achievements of the Chamber while recognizing the leaders who have made a difference in the WHCC over the past year. It is the premier WHCC event that attracts over 300 businesses, elected officials, corporate partners, and community leaders. The 2009 Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner will be held on Friday, April 3 at the Wichita Hyatt Regency. WHCC is glad to host as the keynote speaker for the 7th Annual Meeting Mr. John Quiñones, ABC News correspondent. From 1975 to 1978, Quiñones was a news editor at KTRH radio in Houston, Texas. During that period, he also was an anchor-reporter for KPRC-TV. He was also a reporter with WBBM-TV in Chicago. In 1982, Quiñones joined ABC News as a general assignment correspondent based in Miami. Currently, he is a co-anchor of the ABC News program, Primetime. Quiñones received a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas. He received a master’s degree from the Columbia School of Journalism. The audience is also in for a special entertainment treat for the evening. Other highlights of the Event include presentation of the 2009 Excellence in Leadership Awards and the Presentation of the 2009 WHCC Award of Excellence Scholarship. The WHCC will recoginze the significant role that corporate partners play in furthering the mission of the Chamber, and present the 2009 Officers and Directors.
