About Us
Professional Engineering Consultants, P.A. (PEC), established in 1965 (founding Company in 1946) was created by the merger of three engineering design firms. These Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical firms combined to form a Professional Association. Within months, this association grew to include a Civil Engineering Department and a Materials Testing Laboratory.
In 1965 PEC employed 30 people. Today, PEC employs more than 250 in one of the largest multi-discipline engineering firms headquartered in Kansas. PEC’s corporate headquarters is located in Wichita with offices in Topeka, Tulsa, Lawrence and Pittsburg. Though situated in the Midwest, PEC’s influence touches towns, counties, cities and private industries across the country. Our engineers hold Professional Engineering Licenses in 49 states.
PEC’s specialized engineering services have contributed to the completion of schools, hospitals, military facilities, institutions, office complexes, commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, hotels, and restaurants; roads, bridges, highways, runways and parking lots; water treatment plants, waterlines, wastewater treatment plants, sewer lines and drainage systems; as well as other projects which improve and protect the quality of life.
