LDF Food Group

Larry D. Fleming, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer founded the company, in 1975. The companies first Wendy’s restaurant was opened in Wichita and was the 200th Wendy’s to open in the nation. Today there are over 6000 Wendy’s worldwide and the LDF Food Group has grown to include 43 Wendy’s restaurants.

The company has received every major award given by Wendy’s International, including two Marketer of the Year Awards as well as the Founders Award, which is given to only the most outstanding franchisees. Fleming was also inducted into the Wendy’s Hall of Fame in 1998.

The company has maintained a steady growth pattern since inception and now has over 1500 employees and maintains the practice of promotion from within whenever possible. Strict adherence to all of the Wendy’s International training and operational programs has resulted in the company being ranked in the top 5% of all franchisees in numbers of restaurants certified by the franchisor.

The company is significantly involved in the communities where it’s restaurants are located and has been recognized by receiving many community, state and industry awards. The company also founded “The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids” program which is now a national adoption program for Wendy’s International.
