Cargill Meat Solutions serves as the umbrella organization to Cargill’s beef, pork, and turkey businesses.
A key component of Cargill Meat Solutions was Excel Corporation which was launched 70 years ago and grew from a Midwestern beef company to include pork, processed meats, case ready meats and food distribution centers.
Cargill, formerly Excel, has been in Wichita since 1941. The company employs 36,000 people worldwide—over 700 located in the Wichita corporate offices, or at the research and development center located at 2901 N. Mead.
